„deskMate INFINITY“ is coming soon

„A great event casts its shadow ahead!“ OK, that may be a bit too much marketing, but in fact there is a big event ahead. We at deskMate have developed intensively with our solution so that you can use deskMate even better and above all even more universally. Having almost endless possibilities. That’s why we also call this big update „deskMate INFINITY“. However, it has not yet come about, but here we spoiler a little bit about what will come.

New features of „deskMate INFINITY“

SHUTDOWN OF POOL DESKTOPS WITHOUT DATA

A „monster feature“ (you can’t call it differently) which is only available at deskMate. Pool Desktops can now be shut down WITHOUT lost data (yes you read it correctly). Only at the end of a training will the data be deleted as usual. Forget the concern that a participant accidentally shuts down his deskMate desktop. At the same time, this feature opens the possibility of offering longer-running trainings, blended training or e-learning.

NESTED VIRTUALIZATION

Now a virtualization can also be realized within a deskMate desktop. Virtualization within virtualization is possible. Ideal for e.g. Hyper-V trainings.

DOCKER CONTAINER

The popular Docker Containers can now also be operated within deskMate. Thus, you can also offer Docker trainings over deskMate.

WIN 11 SUPPORT

We admit it was overdue, but due to the Secure Boot function of WIN 11 not so easy to implement. You want to do training with WIN 11 as your operating system. Please, you can have.

COPIES AND TEMPLATES WITHIN SECONDS

Hours become seconds. Thanks to our new storage systems, long-running copying and backup jobs are a thing of the past. You can now copy the image of a master desktop to a pool within seconds, or create a template, or back up a template, or, or, or, or. This gives you the opportunity to deploy changes immediately and makes you even more flexible.

But there is still a long size not to go. There will also be a new interface for creating and managing training. And also a new way your participants can register at deskMate. Everything is even easier, more flexible and even more universal. For more slightly, we will be said at a later date.

When will it all come?
Of course, we have a release date internally, but because of the really extensive changes we don’t want to release this here yet. Only this much can we say at the moment. It will be after the summer (2024 of course). So does not last so long 😀
