High-performance remote training desktops and cloud desktops now also available for users in China

Press report from December 2021

The Stuttgart-based desktop-as-a-service service desktMate is now also offering users from China high-performance access to the deskMate data center in Germany. This means that for the first time, participants from China can also take part in remote training and use cloud desktops that are held or hosted outside of China.
“Access for users based in China Mainland was previously always blocked due to the Great Firewall. Thanks to our exclusive, prioritized fibre optic line, these users can now also access our environment in Germany,” says Michael Kurz, Managing Director of the deskMate service.

Intelligent routing automatically ensures that users from China are routed via the prioritized line.

This service is of interest to software companies in the automotive industry, among others. Often located outside of China, they use the deskMate Remote Training Desktops to deliver training-intensive software training regardless of location or device. The software to be trained is pre-installed on the remote training desktops. Participants only need an HTML browser to be able to work with the software to be trained.

When used as cloud desktops, companies can securely connect freelancers from China (and of course any other region in the world) without the software and data leaving the data center in Germany. Full control of the data and access always remains with the company.

The deskMate Remote Training Desktops and Cloud Desktops are billed according to the pay-as-you-use model. This means that costs are only incurred if users actually connect via the system. A long-term contract commitment is not necessary, so that companies can react flexibly to changes.

Companies and training organizations can be provided with non-binding test environments.
