How to import your existing training images to deskMate

Do you have existing training images that you would like to use in deskMate? We’ll show you how.

Here are the requirements so that your existing training images can be imported into deskMate:

• Your image should have one of the following formats: Qcow, qcow2, qed, raw, vdi, vhd, vhdx, vmdk or vpc
• Please tell us the “Administrator” or “root” password, as we need this to update the drivers
• Deactivates automatic updates
• deskMate desktops only use a logical hard disk (i.e. a hard disk image). If your previous training computer has several hard disk images, please contact our support team in advance

The upload itself is very simple.

As admin of the environment, you can upload your image via the admin menu under Desktops, Media/Images, + Upload file.

When the upload is complete, you should see your image in the list after a reload list.

Please inform us afterwards so that our team can start the import. When importing, we adapt the file format for our environment, install the necessary drivers and, if necessary, also replace Microsoft license keys. We install the imported image on your Master_Desktop, where you can then use it.
