The ping time is measured in milliseconds (ms).<\/p>\n\n<p>If participants report that the deskMate virtual training computer is slow, this is often due to high latency.<br\/>With the new latency display, you can quickly see the latency of a connected subscriber.  <\/p>\n\n<p>In the admin&#8217;s &#8220;Desktops&#8221; view, the header icon now not only shows whether the participant is connected, but also the participant&#8217;s latency.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/deskmate.lokalix.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8806\" width=\"645\" height=\"141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/deskmate.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency.jpg 1289w, https:\/\/deskmate.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency-300x65.jpg 300w, https:\/\/deskmate.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency-1024x223.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/deskmate.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency-768x167.jpg 768w, https:\/\/deskmate.cloud\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/latency-710x155.jpg 710w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 645px) 100vw, 645px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p>The average latency of the last three minutes is always evaluated and displayed.<\/p>\n\n<p>If a subscriber or group of subscribers suddenly has poorer latency, it is often because their local network (home office or company network) is overloaded, or the Internet provider they are using has problems.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<p>Although the main factors of high latency are distance end device &#8211; data center and network congestion\/interference, there are a few tips on how to improve latency.<\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns has-black-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#424141\">\u25cf Avoids network overload.
